Deciding to have a destination wedding was not a challenge for Danielle and Benjamin. They always knew they wanted their wedding to be an occasion where they could spend undivided time with friends and family versus a few quick hours. UNICO 20º87º Hotel Riviera Maya offered the perfect setting for Danielle and Benjamin to make special memories to be cherished for a lifetime, and celebrate their everlasting love.

What was the best part of the planning process?

They made it so easy! I sent the team images of what I liked, and they gave me options and pricing. Alanna helped ease my concerns about my own decisions and design and Miriam took over all of my items and planning once on site to execute it. I loved being able to hand everything over to her, so I didn’t have to worry.

What were your favorite amenities?

If we to choose just one it would be the spa! We enjoyed multiple treatments throughout our stay, including a couple’s massage which let us totally relax and recover from the long nights out on the dance floor. We also loved Bar Balam and hung out there almost every night before and after dinner. The cocktails were amazing! Reality hit us hard when we got home and walked into our apartment building lobby only to realize that unfortunately they had not decided to open a custom cocktail bar and lounge while we were away. The dining experience was also phenomenal-we are foodies and truly had a unique time!

Describe your big day in 3 sentences

The day was perfect! The Bridal party started getting ready early with lots of music, relaxation and room service while the groomsmen hung out at the pool before getting ready. We said “I do” in front of our friends and family with the most beautiful backdrop and our friend, Dan Jimenez officiating. Then everyone danced the night away-I don’t think anyone sat down once the dance floor was open and we continued the party in Palmera lounge with a live band and DJ.
