He worked at Casa Prunes, a cocktail bar in La Roma Norte, which is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Mexico and protected by the INAH (National Institute of Anthropology and History). With just a year and a half in the industry, he was a semifinalist in WorldClass, one of the most prestigious cocktail competitions in Mexico and the world.

Rodrigo began his working life as a news reporter for 5 years, leaving his job to start in the world of bars with Red Bull where he learned and began his passion for service. He currently works with a spirits distributor called COOP, making PR for their brands. In 2019 he became a founding partner of Handshake bar which today is the #11 bar in the world according to the 50 Best Bars.
